Hello, I'm Burt Kaper, and I appreciate the chance to introduce myself and how ILS Lock & Door can assist with your door security requirements.

My journey in the security industry began in 1985 at Best Lock Corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana, under the leadership of Walter Best, a remarkable innovator. This experience provided me with a strong foundation in developing robust masterkey systems and a deep appreciation for high-quality security hardware. Following this, I spent over 28 years at our family business, KAPER’S Hardware & Building Materials, where I gained extensive experience in estimating, project management, sales, and light manufacturing within the hardware and building supply sector. Building on this momentum, I established Illiana Lock Service (ILS) in 2013. Initially based in Watseka, IL, and now operating as ILS Lock & Door in Turtle Lake, WI, our company offers comprehensive door and hardware solutions alongside professional locksmithing services throughout the Midwest.

While this is a brief overview, I want to emphasize my long-standing commitment to the locksmithing and commercial door industry.
